Google Calendar

Google Calendar, in your menu bar.

The Google Calendar web app is a browser tab you have to go find. InstaCal puts the same calendar one keystroke from wherever you already are, and joins your Meet calls in a click.

$29 once. One purchase includes InstaCal for Mac, iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch. No subscription, InstaCal account or ads.

Google Calendar in InstaCal, in short

Signing in
Through your browser, the standard OAuth flow. InstaCal never sees your Google password.
Where the token lives
In your macOS Keychain — not in a preferences file, and not on any server of ours.
Sync
Incremental: only what changed moves. A local cache keeps the panel instant, and it still opens when you're offline.
Google Meet
Meet links are detected automatically and turned into a Join button that remains available until the call ends.
Multiple accounts
Add more than one Google account, plus Apple and Microsoft 365 alongside them.
Duplicates
The same meeting synced from two accounts is collapsed into one row instead of appearing twice.
Alongside everything else

Google, Apple and Microsoft in one panel.

Most people's calendars are not all in one place. The panel does not care.

Mixed accounts, one agenda

Work Google, personal iCloud and a Microsoft 365 account interleave into a single day, sorted by time.

Calendar Sets across providers

A set can span accounts — "Work" might mean one Google calendar and one Microsoft calendar, and nothing else.

One meeting, one row

When the same meeting arrives through two accounts, InstaCal collapses it rather than showing you a duplicate.

Colours you control

Override any calendar's colour locally — including calendars whose colour an administrator controls.

FAQ

Common questions

How does InstaCal connect to Google Calendar?
Through the standard browser-based Google sign-in. InstaCal never sees your password, and the resulting token is stored in your Mac's Keychain.
Can I add more than one Google account?
Yes, and you can mix them with Apple and Microsoft 365 accounts. Everything interleaves into one agenda, and Calendar Sets can span providers.
Does it work offline?
The panel opens and shows your cached events offline. Sync resumes when you're back online, moving only what changed.
Will Google Meet links work automatically?
Yes. InstaCal detects Meet links in the event's URL, location or notes and shows a Join button in the agenda row, the event details, and the notification.
Does InstaCal collect any data?
No. InstaCal contains no analytics and no tracking. Your Google and Microsoft tokens live in Apple's Keychain, and your events sync directly between your device and your calendar provider — there is no server of ours for your data to visit.
How much does InstaCal cost?
InstaCal is $29 once. One App Store purchase includes the Mac, iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch apps. There is no subscription, separate mobile purchase, Pro tier, InstaCal account or in-app purchase.
