Microsoft 365 in InstaCal, in short
- Signing in
- Through your browser, the standard Microsoft sign-in. The token is stored in your macOS Keychain.
- Teams meetings
- Teams links are detected in the URL, location or notes and turned into a Join button before the call starts.
- Invitations
- Accept, decline or reply tentative from the panel — with a comment, or silently, skipping the email entirely.
- Conflict checking
- Before you reply, InstaCal shows what the invitation collides with in your existing schedule — the other event by name, the exact minutes in dispute, and both drawn on one timeline.
- Emailing guests
- Before a change touches an event's guests, InstaCal asks whether to email them — the same Send / Don't Send choice Google Calendar offers — for edits, reschedules, moves, deletes and new invitations.
- Duplicates
- A meeting that arrives through both your Microsoft and Google accounts is shown once, not twice.
- Alongside
- Works next to Apple, Google and Microsoft 365 — plus iCloud, Fastmail, Yahoo, Fruux and any other CalDAV server, signed in inside InstaCal rather than in System Settings.
Answer it where you saw it.
The invitation card is also a conflict-checker.
Conflicts, before you commit
The invitation card shows the day it lands on and what it collides with, so "yes" is an informed answer.
Yes, Maybe or No, inline
Reply from the panel or straight from the notification banner. No mail client, no browser.
Reply with a comment — or silently
Say why you're declining, or skip the email entirely and just update your status.
One bell for everything
Pending invitations and active alerts share a single indicator, so there's one place to look.
A conflict with a way out
An overlap gets a card of its own: what it collides with, the exact minutes in dispute, and both events on one timeline. Click it for an open time to move to, a shorter version, or Busy turned off.
Not every overlap is a problem
An event that only falls outside your working hours reads as a note, not an alarm — and a calendar you can see but cannot act on can stay out of conflict checking entirely.
