What a Smart Filter saves
A Smart Filter is a reusable workspace. It can combine the current search, selected calendars, event rules and calendar view. Use one for project meetings, travel, family planning or any repeated way you narrow the schedule.
Save the current workspace
Arrange the calendar as you want it: select calendars, enter a search or rule, and choose Day, Week, Month, Quarter, Year or List. Open Settings → Smart Filters, choose Save Current Workspace, enter a clear name and confirm.
Apply a saved filter
Choose the Smart Filter from the calendar’s filter controls. InstaCal restores its saved scope and view together. Clearing the filter returns to the normal calendar selection rather than deleting the saved workspace.
Update or remove one
Open Settings → Smart Filters. Select a filter to review its configuration, rename it or replace it with the current workspace. Delete filters you no longer need; this does not change or delete any calendar events.
Smart Filters and Calendar Sets
Calendar Sets answer “which calendars?” Smart Filters can answer that plus “which events and which view?” Use a Calendar Set for a fast Work or Personal switch, and a Smart Filter when the workspace also needs a query, rules or a particular view.
