Turn on weather
Open Settings → Weather and enable weather in day headers. Choose Apple Weather or The Weather Company where available, then select automatic location or search for a fixed place.
Choose the temperature scale and icon style. Conditions and high and low temperatures appear beside the calendar date; turn the feature off to remove them entirely.
Location permission is needed only when using the device’s current location. A fixed city works without continuous location access.
Show moon phases
In the same settings area, turn on Moon and choose the graphic style. InstaCal calculates the principal phase for the day and places it with the date information where the current view has room.
Add a second time zone
Open Settings → General on Mac or Settings → Date & Time on iPhone and iPad. Enable the second time zone and choose a city or zone.
Event details show the corresponding local time and abbreviation. When both zones fall on the same date, the secondary display stays compact; it adds the date when the conversion crosses into another day.
Tip: The second zone is for reading the same event in another place. Choose an event-specific time zone in the editor when the event itself must remain anchored to that zone.
